New Beginnings!
Every once in a while all of us need a fresh start - a new beginning. It is a way to brush away the old, both the good and the bad, and begin to see what might be on the horizon. Someone once told me that a rut is really a grave with both ends open. It is easy to find your way into one as well. September, I think, is a great time to get ourselves back into action following the glorious end of summer. Somehow the resumption of school gets me back into the groove. I can almost smell the pencils being sharpened! I enjoy and look forward to getting back into a routine. How about you?
As we conclude summer…despite the fact that September and October can be warm months around these parts…why don’t we make a fresh start together? We have some new things going on around Adobe that I know you will be interested in. One obvious one is our website. The navigation has been changed and adjusted so that those of us “non-techies” are able update and maintain and enhance the site. Our home page looks like a blog now and will be used as such. The photo page has some updated features including a slideshow option and the sermon audio page allows you to now listen or download or subscribe to our podcast without ever leaving our site. There are some other goodies as well, so check it out. And give us some feedback! Click on the Contact Us Page and let us know. We want to make our website something that you can use and rely upon for accurate information.
Two more things: Our Sunday morning Kids programs are being revamped and pumped up! We have new curriculum, which is really more than a curriculum…more like a strategy. The bottom line is that they will be fun, creative and engaging. Your kids will learn about and get to know their Heavenly Father! We have a great teaching staff!
Lastly, we have some more changes in store for our main auditorium. The new sound booth is close to finished and we are looking at some other enhancements as well.
I’m excited about our future at Adobe and eagerly look forward to this Fresh Start…this New Beginning that Fall offers us. Thanks for being a part of this place we call our church Home! 2nd Corninthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”
